BBD Release 2.6
This page contains public notes on Release 2.6 for the Bluebird Documentation web application.
Release 2.6 brings flexible, pay-as-you-grow storage to Bluebird Documentation, alongside much tighter integration with the rest of the Bluebird Suite.
Rather than jumping between fixed plans, you can now add and remove 2GB storage blocks for $1/month each, and only pay for what you actually need. Signing into one Bluebird Suite application now signs you into the others, and files you keep in the Bluebird Command Center can be attached directly to your documents.

What shipped in Release 2.6
Now that 2.6 is out, here is everything that went into the release.
Flexible Storage Plans
Storage is now purchased in 2GB blocks at $1/month each, so you can scale your allowance up or down at any time.
- Add or remove storage whenever you need it: a new billing control lets you increment and decrement your storage blocks, showing your current number of blocks, the monthly cost, and your total allowance at a glance.
- Your limit updates automatically: changing your subscription immediately recalculates and applies your new storage limit, so there is no waiting around after a purchase.
- Safeguards before you downgrade: removing a block is checked against what you are actually storing, so you are warned rather than silently pushed over your new, lower limit.
- Safer handling of failed payments: if a payment fails or a subscription is cancelled, your storage allowance is wound down safely and you are warned before any of your data is at risk.
- The storage plans page has been reworked to explain the new options more clearly, and now reflects the current 100 MB free tier.
Bluebird Suite Integration
Bluebird Documentation is now much better connected to the other applications in the suite.
- Single sign-on across the suite: signing into one Bluebird Suite application now automatically signs you into the others, so you no longer have to log in again as you move between them.
- Attach files from the Bluebird Command Center: a new file picker sits beside the existing attachment input in the document editors, letting you choose any file from your Command Center library instead of re-uploading it from your device. It is available across personal, Team Workspace, and shared workspace documents.
- Navigation to the Bluebird Command Center: the header now links through to the Command Center, next to the links for the other Bluebird Suite applications.
- Navigation to Bluebird Focus: the header also now includes a link to the Bluebird Focus desktop application.
Editor Improvements
- The editor toolbar now offers a range of fonts, so you can pick the typeface that suits your document rather than being limited to the default.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed being unable to scroll back to the top of a document in the editor. On longer documents the top of the content could become stuck behind the toolbar with no way to reach it again short of reloading the page.
- Fixed the parent document dropdown being empty when converting a Team Workspace page into a personal document — your personal documents now appear as options to choose from.
- Fixed task lookup in the document editor when using the "#" key, which could fail to fetch tasks at all.
